A Comfort Care: the next best thing to providing care yourself

You’ve probably heard the old saying “it takes a village to raise a child.”

But by now you’re probably realizing that when it comes to taking care of a mother, father or other family member… Sometimes even a village isn’t enough.

If you’ve realized that you need help caring for a loved one, help is at hand.

Since 2004, A Comfort Care has worked tirelessly to provide home care services for clients just like your family member, with an unwavering commitment to the dignity and worth of every person in our care.

Over the years we have remained true to our vision and have become one of the top-rated agencies in San Antonio. A Comfort Care is licensed by the Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services. The agency has liability and professional insurance and is bonded, and we are locally owned and managed.

Confused or anxious about the difficult decisions ahead of you? Relax. Our staff have years of experience in the home care industry. In particular, we’re very knowledgeable about the ins and outs of medical and long-term care insurance benefits, and can help you take care of all the papers you need to complete in order to get started.

Our caregivers are experienced, well educated, and committed to reliable and compassionate care for clients with Alzheimer’s, Dementia, Parkinson's, ALS, cancer and other progressive illnesses. They have deep experience caring for bedbound clients and those with diabetes and special diets. What’s more, before they join our team, they go through extensive background checks—including criminal history, misconduct registry, and reference checks.

Happy Clients

You wouldn’t think so, but your loved one can get lost in the transition between the life they knew and their new life with caregivers. Some agencies forget that, but not A Comfort Care. And it shows in the smiles on our clients faces—some of whom have been with us for years.

We are extremely pleased with our new caregiver. My father seems to be very compatible with her; he is already following her directions. That's a major accomplishment for the first night.

I can’t thank you enough for all you have done for my parents. Your caregivers have taken to them as though they are family, and I feel so at ease knowing your agency is there 24/7 for them. My mother often says “We are truly blessed to have found such wonderful people.”

My dad called today and sounded fantastic. He said he was out walking with his caregiver. I can’t tell you how happy it made me. As you know since mom passed he hasn't left the house and was so depressed. His caregivers are amazing. He is eating healthy, taking his medication, exercising, and the house is clean. Most of all he seems so much happier. It seemed like his life was never going to get back on track...but thanks to all of you he is back!

How does one say Thank You, when “Thank You” is so inadequate for the loving, and constant care you gave to my Mother. She, as you know, had been traumatized by the ordeal of falling from her wheelchair.

It meant so much to have your there to garden and walk with my mother. Your girls were there to read to her, keep her company, and most of all to continue to love her. I wish I had the words to express what you have meant to us.
